What is a blog?*
"A blog (a blend of the term web log)[1] is a type of website or part of a website. Blogs are usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order. Blog can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog". (1)
Use of blogs in teaching: *
Blogs are very useful in teaching process. It is a kind of resource. We can find varieties of information in many fields.
*Advantages and disadvantages of blogs:
*Advantages:
-We can share Knowledge with others.
-We can avoid the other's mistakes because some people write about their experience.
1. - Some learners are self driven: they have a strong desire to learn. Want to discover, act proactively, and take initiatives. Also they want to set own goals. So they need freedom and individual feedback. (2)
It facilitates our learning process. -
Disadvantages:*
Some learners don't have time to write or read blogs.

ردحذفyes Al fan thats right and the best thing in using blogs is that we can communicate with countless number of people , I can't share information with all the class using messenger forexample, but here it seems like a white space inwhich we can write whatever we want without any interruption

ردحذفYou a nice way of delivering ides. first, what really captured my sightis the word '' a resourse'', so blog is kind of material to be used in reaserches. It is also an optional to use in case the teacher wanted to integrate technology in teaching language. I strongly agree with the idea that blogs help those self-driven learners. Since they are internally motivated they will choose the best time and play to unleash their creativity. And on the other side, those who don't have time to read and write will miss the chance to see updated material on the class blog. It is better to have students be aware of the advantages of using blogs.
